    Volk:

Bald fasst sie schon der Feuerbrand,
sie ist verflucht, sie ist gebannt!
Der Politiker jagt alle durch den Schlot,
    Verderben treffe sie und Tod!

It's a shame that this opera is not performed more often in operas houses. It was given for the first time in 2013 in Bayreuth. The Dresden production with Hoffman is a complete staging stupidity of again those stage directors eager to be sources of scandals or making out of context their presentations. As for Bayreuth the attitude of the Wagner family is that of dictators who think they have rights to censor their ancestors even if he rejected his work 10 years after its composition. No heirs has such a right. There's a logic in the evolution of a composition style and if one listens carefully to the opera we already perceive the way would be composed later The Flying Dutchman etc…
For your information if you did not know it, this recording was the first attempt on record of a process simulating surround sound with a 4 channels system on disk in 1976.

So here we've got a strange mix: Act 1 should be  Karl Böhm (James King, L. Rysanek singing Siegmund and Sieglinde). Act II is some recording with W. Windgassen as Siegmund, Hans Hotter singing Wotan and Martha Mödl (Sieglinde) (?), perhaps some live-recording (Barcelona??). Act III: ??? some older recording.
